Connecting the System
Before installing the unit
This unit is designed for vehicles with a 12-volt battery and negative grounding. Before
installing the system (especially in a recreational vehicle, loiTy, or bus), check the bat
tery voltage.
Disconnect the negative (-) terminal of
the battery to avoid the risk of a short
circuit.
To prevent damage
When disconnecting a connector, pull the connector itself. Do not pull the lead, as you
may pull it out of the connector.
When the unit is installed in vehicles
that do not have an ACC (accessory)
position on the ignition (as shown in
Fig. 2), be sure to connect the red lead
of the unit to the terminal controlled by
the ignition switch ON/OFF position. If
you do not, the vehicle battery may be
drained.
