Important
Connecting the Interface Cable
Before starting the printer driver installation, connect the Macintosh and the
printer with the interface cable. Do the connection for a USB connection,
IEEE1394 connection, or network connection, whichever is suited for your
Macintosh.
To set up an IEEE1394 port connection, you need a Macintosh equipped
with an IEEE1394 (FireWire) port and running Mac OS 9.04 or later.
TUSB Connection

If the Macintosh is switched on, switch it off.

If the printer is on, hold down the Power button for 1 second or more
and release it when the Online lamp starts to flash.

Connect the USB cable B connector (square) to the USB port on the
back of the printer, then connect the USB cable A connector (flat) to a
USB port on the Macintosh.
Printer back Computer
z Use a USB 1.1 standard interface cable to connect the printer and computer.
TIEEE1394 Connection

If the Macintosh is switched on, switch it off.

If the printer is on, hold down the Power button for over one seconds
and release it when the Online lamp starts to flash.
