6.4 Transport Securing
Please note, if the display unit is used together with platform with transportation lock,
this transportation lock must be released prior to use.
See operating instructions attached to the respective platform.
Example of application
6.5 Mains connection
Power is supplied via the external mains adapter. The stated voltage value must be
the same as the local voltage.
Only use original KERN mains adapters. Using other makes requires consent by
KERN.
6.6 Battery operation
 On the rear side of the display unit remove the battery cover and insert
5 x 1.5 V, AA batteries.
Ensure correct polarisation.
 Close again the lid.
In order to ensure a long lifetime of the batteries, we recommend to enable the
automatic switch-off function „FNC-08“, see chapter 9.1
