8.5 magazine assembly
1. orient the magazine follower on the magazine spring and insert into the bottom
of the magazine tube.

The magazine spring is being compressed during assembly. guard the magazine
insert and magazine spring with your thumb to control magazine spring tension.
uncontrolled release can cause injury. Wear eye protection.
2. insert the magazine spring fully into the magazine tube until the magazine
insert is flush with the magazine tube bottom.
3. Holding the magazine insert in place, slide the magazine floorplate onto the
magazine tube lips until the magazine floorplate is locked in place by the maga-
zine insert.
