4. GETTING STARTED

To get the most out of your Suunto Vyper , use some time to personalize it and really
make it YOUR computer. Set the correct time and date, the alarms, and backlight
settings.
The main menu based functions are grouped under 1) memory, 2) dive simulation
and 3) setting modes. User options for the Vyper are selected by using the push but-
tons. Pre Dive configuration and setup options include:

Choice of operating mode - Air / Nitrox / Gauge

Maximum depth alarm

Dive time alarm

Backlight settings

Clock, calendar, daily alarm

Mix Oxygen fraction % (Nitrox mode only)

Maximum PO2 (Nitrox mode only)

Altitude adjustment

Personal adjustment
