NOTE

After engine has been serviced, linish
filling oil reservoir. Start engine and
operate engagement handle so the rarn
makes two comp strokes. —

CAUTION

This is to purge the hydraulic system
of air. Continued operation will cause
permanent damage to pump and cyl­

inder. Stop engine and finish filling
reservoir tank. It will take about 3
quarts of oil. See figure 4.

Your log splitter is designed for safe, efficient,
operation. CARE, OF COURSE, MUST BE EXER­
CISED THAT HANDS ARE KEPT AWAY FROM
MOVING PARTS.

Set throttle at maximum speed.

Engagement handle has three positions: Forward-

moves ram toward wedge. Neutral—ram stops in
place. Reverse—ram returns. See figure 8.
