Note

If you play a normal tape in Metal mode, the

sound will not be reproduced properly.

Music sensor function

By using this function, you can fast-forward or
rewind the tape to the beginning of the next or

current track, from which the tape playback will

resume automatically.

1. Press MS to stand by for the music sensor

function. The “MS” indication appears.

2. To search for the beginning of the next track,

press FF.

To search for the beginning of the current
track, press REW.

The “MS” indication flashes during scaning.
To cancel this function, press MS again.

Note

There must be at least a 4-second blank between
the tracks for this function to be activated correctiy.

Blank skip function

By using this function, when the unit detects a
blank portion longer than 12 seconds between

tracks, it automaticaily fast forwards the tape to

the beginning of the next track.

Press BL to activate this function.

The “BL” indication appears. The indication
flashes during scanning the next track.
To cancel this function, press BL again.

• If the end of the tape is reached during fast­

forwarding, the unit switches to the other side of

the tape and continues fast-forwarding.

Press SEL to select the mode that you

wish to adjust from: VOL (volume),

BASS

(bass),

TRE

(treble),

BAL

(balance) and FAD (fader).

The following indicators appear in cyclic order.

If you do not proceed with step 2 within 5

seconds, the selected mode is canceled, and

the indication returns to the current source

mode.

Press +/— to adjust the level.

Press and hold either button to change the
level rapidly.

Without selecting any mode with SEL, only

the volume level can be adjusted by pressing

+/-.

MUTE button

Press this button to temporarily lower the volume.
Press it again to restore the previous volume.
