Physical Connections - HM MIL Models
TOUCHSCREEN: (optional)
This 9P COM connector provides touch screen communication for display units that have been equipped with a
factory mounted touch screen. It should be connected to a computer with touch screen drivers installed. See the touch
screen chapter in this manual for more information.
- Note that the connector is only installed upon customer request, and it will occupy 1 x DSUB connector from the
Remote Control functionality (see next page).
REMOTE CONTROL:
The 9P COM connector(s) provides additional functionality for the unit. The I/O - Serial Remote Control features a
RS-232/422/485 interface for controlling internal parameters like brightness. You can access most of the parameters
available in the OSD menu and with special commands control the display unit externally and even daisy chain more
products together. An in-depth chapter are available in this manual (control interface).
- Note that if your product has been delivered with a factory touch screen, one of these connectors is automatically
occupied and cannot be used together with the daisy chain functionality for the Serial Remote Control Interface.
POWER INPUT: (AC models)
The internal AC power module supports both 115VAC/60Hz and 230VAC/50Hz power input. Please check
specifications for your product.
POWER INPUT: (DC models)
Secure the cables (check polarity as indicated on the label!) to the screw terminal. The internal DC power module
supports 24VDC voltage. Please check specifications for your product.
GROUNDING SCREW:
Note: DC models are required / recommended to be properly grounded via the screw located on the unit. Please
review “General Installation Chapter”, pt.10 for more information.
