2) Remove the battery pack.

3) Insert new battery pack.

4) Fasten base screws.

5) Check that instrument switches on and works to

specification.

Recharging the Battery Pack
The battery pack should be recharged in the following
situations:
The BAT or BAT FAULT message is displayed.
The instrument will not switch on.
The pump will not switch on.
It is recommended that the battery pack is fully discharged
on a regular basis (once every three months). This can be
done by running the instrument continuously or using the
battery conditioning facility on the Smart Charger. The
batteries can be charged on the instrument but the
instrument itself should be switched off. Regular complete
discharge will keep the battery pack in good condition.

Replacing Alkaline (LR20) Dry Cell
Batteries

All four batteries should be replaced at any one time and
in a safe area. GMI only recommend the use of Energiser
or Duracell cells.

1) Loosen the two instrument base screws (4mm hex)

using the special tool provided.
