One short-duration press of the ARC switch should activate the Warning Arc long enough to
hear and see the X2 arc. It is not necessary to extend the duration. In most cases, less than one
second is adequate once the Warning Arc begins.
WARNING
View the electrical arc from the top or side of the CEW. Do not
look at the front of the CEW or point the CEW at your face.

Shift the safety switch to the down (SAFE) position.
