Return Shipping Instructions

• Call a Hoefer service representative for a return

order number (RMA# and return shipping address)
and “Health and Safety Declaration” form before
returning any Hoefer instrument.

• All units must be CLEAN before they are packed.

This means that all items returned must be free
of fluids and debris. The exterior of the tanks and
controllers are expected to be wiped down and
free of foreign substances. Unknown materials in
or on units are treated as hazardous materials and
handled accordingly. Failure of the sender to clean
and remove foreign matter could result in additional
labor and/or hazardous disposal charges associated
with cleaning the unit.

• Include a letter with the shipment indicating the

reason for the return.

• The unit must be sent via a trucking company in an

upright position and on a pallet. Boxes should be
labeled marking the orientation (“This End Up”).

• Pack the unit with a minimum of 2 inches of firm

padding on all sides to prevent shipping damage.

• The original packing is acceptable if undamaged.
• Write the Return Order (RMA) Number on the

outside of the box in large numbers.

• Insure the unit for the price paid. If you are

unsure of the value to insure, contact Hoefer. If an
underinsured package is damaged in shipment, the
sender is responsible for all costs that exceed the
insured value.

Note: Shipping peanuts are
NOT acceptable padding.
