ECORDING
A frequent requirement is to trim unwanted material from the beginning or end of a recording. The trimming option
on a workflow provides for this and allows for easy adjustment of the desired In/Out points. Select the
“Review/Trim before encoding” option when scheduling a capture, and then once the recording has reached the
server, click on the “Review/Trim” link in the “Action” column.
This will bring up the Review/Trim media player:
Use the slider to adjust the In and Out markers and click Continue to submit the recording for further processing.
Final editing of the metadata associated with this recording may be done during this step as well.
2.3 S ERIES
A “Series” is a set of related recordings or episodes, e.g., “Physics 210 – Fall Semester, 2011”. A Series may be
defined for a single episode if needed. The organization may define as many Series as required for their content.
