3.3.5.2

DME 1 and 2

DME 1 and DME 2 are pull-push rotary switches used to control their
respective receivers.

When the control is pulled out, the relevant receiver will be selected and
when pushed in, it will be deselected. The rotary function of the switch is
used to adjust the volume.

3.3.5.3

High Frequency Transceiver (HF)

The HF Transceiver control is a pull-push rotary switch used to control the HF
transceiver.

When the control is pulled out, the transceiver will be selected and when pushed in, it will
be deselected. The rotary function of the switch is used to adjust the volume.

3.3.5.4

AHRS Switch (1 / NORM / 2) – Model 806 only

The Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) switch is a 3-position locking toggle
switch that selects the display method for AHRS data.

Position 1 selects AHRS1 as the source for data displayed on PFD1 & PFD2.

Position 2 selects AHRS2 as the source for data displayed on PFD1 & PFD2.

In the NORM position, AHRS1 & AHRS2 data is displayed on PFD1 & PFD2.

3.3.6.1

AUDIO Switch (ALTN / NORM) – Model 806 only

The AUDIO Switch is a 2-position locking toggle switch.

When the AUDIO switch is placed in the NORM position, normal audio system function is
selected.

Placing the switch into the ALTN position activates the Alternate Mode of operation.
Alternate Mode causes the Aural Warning EMER BYPASS input to be connected to the
Aural Warning EMER BYPASS output; removes the EMER 28 V from the EMER
SWITCH OUT and the AUDIO ALTN SWITCH discrete outputs.

Note: For reference to externally connected equipment, the NORM position of the AUDIO switch also

controls an externally connected audio control amplifier (not part of model 806-000). Placing the
AUDIO switch in the NORM position places the externally connected audio control amplifier into
normal operating condition. Placing the AUDIO switch in the ALTN position places the externally
connected audio control amplifier into bypass mode. In bypass mode, the volume controls within
the audio system are bypassed and not functional. If radio transceivers and radio receivers are
installed which have their own built-in volume controls then the audio volume may be adjusted
using the built-in radio volumes. If the transceivers and receivers do not have their own built-in
volume controls, then the volume level for the all radios is fixed and not adjustable.
