CONTACTOR CONTROL BOX MODEL AEC 200-3A
For use in connecting the AEC 200 Welding Gun to a constant current stationary
or engine driven welding power source capable of DC reverse polarity (DC-RP) output.
AEC 200-3A CONTACTOR
TO INSTALL:
1.) Remove top cover from control unit.
2.) Install the multi-conductor cord from the AEC 200 welding gun through the access hole in the front panel of
the control box and connect the numbered wires to the corresponding numbers on the 8 pole terminal
strip TS1.
3.) Connect 115V power cord from the control box to a 115V AC or DC power source.
4.) Connect a welding cable (1/0 or 2/0) from the positive output terminal on the power source to the
"Electrode" stud terminal on the control box.
5.) Connect the signal lead from the control box to the negative output terminal on the power source.
(Same terminal the work lead is connected)
6.) Connect the power cable from the AEC 200 gun to the "Gun" stud terminal on the control box.
7.) Review and ensure all connections are properly made.
8.) Replace top cover and secure.
NOTE: The jog switch on the AEC 200 Gun is inoperative when using the AEC 200-3A Control Box.
NOTE!
Due to the design of the magnetic blowout, welding current polarity must be properly connected or permanent
damage to contactor contacts may result. See installation diagram for proper cable connections.
