device provider files are copied onto the NetCentral server PC when the
NetCentral manager software is installed, which makes the Kayak HD
device provider available for installation from the local switcher.

Manually Configure the SNMP Trap Destination

The trap destination is the target for all status messages delivered from the
Kayak system. To manually configure the trap destination you need the fol-
lowing information:

The names of the SNMP communities to which the switcher belongs.
Typically, this is set to Public. If you use other SNMP community
names, make sure you set trap destinations for each one.

Note

Kayak system supports at the time only

Public

(read only access) and

Privat

(read/write access) communities.

The IP address of the NetCentral server PC which receives SNMP trap
information.

Note

The NetCentral PC must be installed in the same Sub-Net as all Kayak devices
(control panel and video processing frame).

To check, add, edit, or remove trap destinations on the Kayak HD system:

Install – Diagnosis

menu.

are displayed in the right list field.

button to enter the community name or select

Trap IP

to enter the IP address of the NetCentral PC.
