OPERATION

Driving Procedure

1. Disconnect the charging cable (if

connected).

2. All riders should wear substantial

footwear, long pants and a close-fitting
shirt. A hard hat or helmet and approved
eye protection are recommended when
appropriate for working or riding
conditions.

3. Sit in the driver's seat and fasten the seat

belt. Make sure passenger is seated with
seat belt secured.

4. Adjust mirrors as needed.

5. Apply the brakes. Place the direction selector in neutral (N).

6. Apply the brakes. Turn the key to the ON position. Wait about a second for the contactor

to close before continuing.

7. Move the direction selector to forward or reverse.

8. Release the park brake.

9. Check your surroundings and determine your path of travel.

10. Keeping both hands on the steering wheel, release the brake pedal and gradually push

the accelerator toward the floor to begin driving.

11. Drive slowly. Practice maneuvering and using the accelerator and brakes on level

surfaces.

12. Before turning, activate a turn signal to alert others of your intentions. See page 22.

13. Do not carry a passenger until you have at least two hours of driving experience with this

vehicle. Never carry more than one passenger in this vehicle. Allow a passenger to ride
only in a designated passenger seat with seat belt secured. Never allow a passenger to
ride in the cargo box.

14. To stop the vehicle, release the accelerator pedal completely and brake to a complete

stop.

Tip: Always come to a complete stop before reversing direction.

15. Set the park brake.

16. Place the direction selector in neutral.

17. Turn the key off.

WARNING! A rolling vehicle can cause serious injury. Always set the park brake and remove the key
when leaving the vehicle unattended.
