Shooting Features

Self-timer

The camera is equipped with a self-timer that releases the shutter 10, 2, or 5 seconds
after you press the shutter-release button.
Set Photo VR (

A122) to Off in the setup menu when using a tripod to stabilize the

camera during shooting.

Press the multi selector

J (n).

Select

n10s, n2s, or r5s, and press

the

k button.

n10s (10 seconds): Use on important occasions,

such as weddings.

n2s (2 seconds): Use to prevent camera shake.

r5s (5 seconds): Use to take self-portraits (self-

portrait timer).

If the k button is not pressed, the selection will be

canceled.

When the shooting mode is Pet portrait scene mode, Y (pet portrait auto release)

and r5s (self-portrait timer) are displayed (

A33). n10s and n2s cannot be used.

When the shooting mode is smart portrait mode, you can also use a Smile timer

(

A42), n Self-Collage (A43) or r5s Self-portrait timer in addition to n10s

and

n2s.

Frame the picture and press the shutter-release button halfway.

Focus and exposure are set.
