Setting the flash output level, the frequency (Hz), and the number of
repeating flashes per frame

Set the same manual flash output level, frequency, and number of repeating
flashes per frame for each group.
Press the [SEL](FUNC.) button to display the items to be set (blinking). Press the
[

W

] or [

X

] button to change the values to be set. Press the [SEL](FUNC.) button

once again and the value will stop blinking. The last value to blink is the one that
has been set automatically.

• Continuously pressing the [

W

] or [

X

] button quickly increases or decreases the value.

• The item blinks during adjustment and stops after blinking six times unless an adjustment

is made. The last value to blink is the one that has been set automatically.

Determining the flash output level, the frequency (Hz), and the
number of repeating flashes per frame

Flash output level

• Manual flash output level can be set in 1 step increment or decrement from M1/8 to

M1/128. (Default setting is M1/8.)

Frequency

• Frequency (Hz) represents the number of times the flash fires per second. The frequency

can be set from 1 to 100. (Default setting is 10.)

Number of repeating flashes per frame

• The number of repeating flashes can be set from 1 to 90. (Default setting is 2.)
• The actual maximum number of repeating flashes per frame becomes lower than the one

set as the shutter speed increases or the number of flashes per second decreases
because the Speedlight fires during a single exposure.

• The maximum number of repeating flashes per frame varies depending on the frequency

and flash output level. For more details, refer to your Speedlight user’s manual.
