This table provides an overview of the Protocol Filter Table parameters.
Parameter
Action(s)
Entry Number
Used to reference this table record.
Protocol Type
Indicates what type of protocol is involved in the frame.
Selections include: NONE, DSAP, and SNAP.
Protocol Value
Indicates the value of the protocol that is filtered or
forwarded.
Range: 00-0xFF (DSAP); 0000000000-FF... FF (SNAP).
Incoming Protocol
Link Action
Specifies the action to take on the incoming protocol.
Actions include: Pass, Block, Passlist, and Blocklist.
Outgoing Protocol
Link Action
Specifies the action to take on the outgoing protocol.
Actions include: Pass, Block, Passlist, and Blocklist.
List of Links
Specifies the links associated with the preceding link action
parameters in this table. When Passlist (PL) is specified, the
associated listed links pass the frame and the unlisted links
block it. Conversely, when Blocklist (BL) is specified, the
associated listed links block the frame and the unlisted links
pass it.
