Analog Outputs

Analog signals are typically used to transmit or indicate linear data like pressure or linear actuation, as illustrated in Figure 41. The
analog output devices to which analog outputs are wired are typically current loop or voltage range devices like 4-20 mA signals or
0-10V signals. Refer to Analog Output Module Specifications on page 16 for module details.

Note: Ground the shield on one end only. It is recommended to limit the cable impedance by keeping the cable length as short as

possible. Limiting the distance from ground to the shield is also recommended. The recommended cable is a Belden

TM

8761 or

equivalent.
