SETTING UP THE SHOOTING FUNCTION

Used for macro shots (0.2M ~ 0.8M).
In dark conditions, the autofocus may not function. If this occours, press the FOCUS
button and you can select fixed focus manually.

1. Turn the camera power on.
2. Rotate the mode dial to the shot mode (Still image, Night scene, Movie clip).
3. Do not turn the LCD monitor off.
4. Press the FOCUS button until the desired FOCUS mode indicator displays on the LCD

monitor. Setting up the focus is explained below.

5. Take a picture.

FOCUS button

Focus setting
[Auto focus mode] : Pressing the FOCUS mode will
change the focus mode. See below :
Auto focus mode(No indicator)

Macro ( )

[Fixed focus mode] : Holding the FOCUS button down
over two seconds will select Fixed focus and ( )
indicator will be displayed on the LCD monitor.
( ) indicator is changed as shown below by pressing
the FOCUS button.

Pressing the FOCUS button over two seconds again,
the focus mode is changed to [Auto focus mode].

Reference

The default of the FOCUS mode is Auto focus mode. If the LANDSCAPE in NIGHT SCENE
mode is selected, the camera will default to (infinity).
The selected FOCUS mode is maintained until the camera power is switched off. However, if
the LANDSCAPE in NIGHT SCENE mode is selected, the camera will default to (infinity).
We recommend the use of a tripod when using the camera in MACRO
Do not use the optical viewfinder when MACRO is used.
