Step 3 - Choose a Rack - Base and Factory Integration Information

Factory Integration

Start your order by choosing a rack to house your EVA4100/6100/8100 based on
the HP 10000 G2 Series Rack.

NOTE: The 10000 G2 Series Rack is the only series supported for factory
configuration.
NOTE: When choosing an EVA configuration, start with an EVA configuration "equal
to" or "closest but smaller" than the desired final configuration. Factory configuration
rules will not allow a unit to be built up past the starting point for another standard
configuration. (For example for an EVA6100 2C6D choose an EVA6100 2C4D plus
2 M5314C; not an EVA4100 2C1D plus 5 M5314C enclosures and FC Dual loop
switch.) Orders that do not follow these conventions will be unable to be processed.

Primary Configuration
Rules

Use of the EVA Factory Integration part number is required for component integration.
The EVA4100 Starter Kits, EVA4100/6100/8100 will be configured into a 42U HP
10000 G2 Series Rack with the appropriate PDU. If other products such as servers or
back-up products are included in the cab a different PDU will be added (if required) or
can be chosen from a list of appropriate offerings shown in the configuration tool.

EVA8100 2C2D and 2C6D purchased without additional servers or products will
be racked in the center of the rack. When these configurations are purchased with
servers or other components the EVA will be racked from the bottom up. If a customer
has a specific racking requirement they should use the Factory Express option to define
the configuration.

HP 10000 G2 Series Rack must be purchased. Additional EVA4100 Starter Kits,
EVA4100/6100/8100 bundles and drive enclosures may be ordered for multiple
subsystem integration at the factory. Additional cabs are required to house
configurations beyond the U-space of the initial cabinet. Ballast and stabilizers will be
offered through the configurator tools for use when required.

The EVA4100/6100 and EVA8100 controller pair assemblies are only available for
field installation and should be chosen when field installation is required. HP Global
Services will perform the on-site installation when an EVA4100/6100 or EVA8100
controller pair assembly is ordered.

The 5642 (42U) Rack Cabinet System is supported for field installation. This racks may
be purchased along with EVA component pieces for assembly in the field. The HP
5642 rack system is an entry level rack with sufficient features for easy access and
ease of use.

When calculating available U-space, assume that no space will be placed between
the mounted components. For redundancy, order PDUs in quantities of two. Refer to the
Configuration and User Guide in the Information Library at the Rack Solutions
webpage.
