II. Installation
This chapter covers installation of the 68A00-1 Network Digital Video Recorder on
Static IP environments. Refer to Chapter 5 for more information about the installation
on Dynamic IP environments.
1. Connect the 68A00-1 to a configuration PC:
1.1 Select a PC or laptop running any Microsoft Windows OS, with:
• A 10baseT Ethernet adapter or PCMCIA card
• A crossover LAN cable (to direct connect to the 68A00-1), or
2 network patch cables (for connection via a router or switch)
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher with Active-X Control Plug-In
1.2 Connecting the 68A00-1 to a configuration PC:
• Connect the crossover cable between the PC and the Ethernet port on 68A00-1,
or
• Connect the PC and the 68A00-1 to a router or switch
2. Assign an IP address to the 68A00-1 using IP Setup wizard
2.1 Run IP Setup wizard
Run the ‘IPSetup.exe’ utility, which can be found on supplied Surveillance Utilities CD
(68A07-1), on a PC that is on THE SAME SUBNET
