Be sure to turn Quick Start On (p.42).

Quick Start is set to “On” by default.

Closing the LCD monitor while
powered on during recording
pause
The media indicator (HDD/BD/

DVD/SD CARD) flashes and the

camcorder enters sleep mode.
Opening the LCD monitor
Recording pause is restored

quickly in about one second and the

media indicator lights.

• The camcorder does not enter sleep

mode when:
– The camcorder is recording a scene.
– There is no disc or card in the

camcorder.

– The HDD, disc or card does not have

sufficient remaining free space.

– An unusable disc or card is inserted.

• The recording settings are reset to

default when recording pause is

restored.

• Regardless of the power save setting

(p.42), the camcorder power will be

automatically turned off if standby

in sleep mode continues for approx.

30 minutes. In this case, turn the

power switch to “OFF” first, and

then back to “ON”.

• The lens cover automatically closes

when the camcorder enters sleep

mode.
