SELECTING THE FLASH MODE

The following flash modes can be selected.

FLASH modes

(

) Multi program flash mode

(

) Red-eye reduction flash mode

(

) Back light compensation flash mode

(

) Flash-off mode

(

) Night portrait (slow sync) mode

Unless the

mode is set, the

mode is set when the power is turned off.

The

mode is automatically cancelled after the exposure.

When you want to use this mode continuously, hold the MENU/SET button down for 2 seconds or longer after selecting the mode. (The
selected mode will continue to blink even after it is set.) The mode is maintained so that a number of pictures can be taken. The mode is
canceled when the power is turned off.

When the

modes are selected and it is very dark, the flash will fire 1 – 4 times when the shutter button is pressed down halfway

in order to illuminate the subject and assist the auto focus.
