Problem Item to be Checked Correction
Reading does not start Does the FB lamp turn on
while the FB is not in use? When the device is used in a
low temperature
environment, it may happen
that the FB lamp is difficult
to turn on. If the temperature
is low , try to scan again in
warmer place. If the place is
sufficiently heated , reboot
the system and try scanning
again.
If the problem still persists,
please call our maintenance
service center, supplying the
error code on the screen.
Is the half tone process
carried out? Select the half tone process
as your preference from the
host. The scanned image of the
picture or photo is not good.
Is the Hopper, Flat Bed,
Document holding pad, or
the ADF clean? Conduct cleaning in
accordance with the
“4.3 Cleaning.”
Is the half tone process
carried out? Select the Black and White
process from the host. The scanned image of the
line or character is not good.

Image is warped. Does the document set in
straight in the document
support? Use the document guide and
set the document straight.
