VCR Features

Commercial Scan
This is useful for skipping commercials or short program segments.
1. Press SEARCH once during playback to advance the tape approximately 30 seconds of
recorded material.
2. Each press of the SEARCH button adds an additional 30 seconds up to five minutes.
Slow Motion
You can view a tape during play or play-pause mode using slow motion.
1. In pause mode, press the FORWARD button (FWD on the VCR) or the REVERSE button
(REV on the VCR) to start slow-motion playback.
2. Press the FORWARD button (FWD on the VCR) to increase search speed or the REVERSE
button (REV on the VCR) to decrease the speed of the search.
3. Use the TRACKING + or – buttons to remove any streaks from the picture.
4. Press the PLAY button to return to normal playback.
The VCR switches automatically from slow-motion playback to stop after a few minutes.
Frame Advance
Frame Advance lets you view one-stop action one frame after another during playback. Frame
advance works well for tapes recorded at the SP or SLP speed.
1. Press PAUSE on the remote (PLAY/PAUSE on the VCR) to freeze the action.
2. Press F. ADV on the remote each time you want to view the next frame of the scene.
3. Press PAUSE or PLAY on the remote (PLAY/PAUSE on the VCR) to return to normal
playback.
