1. Television Overview

A/V Reset

If you wish to reset the A/V (Audio/Video) settings back
to the factory defaults:
• To reset all settings at once, press

GUIDE and FORMAT

on the side panel at the same time.

• To reset the defaults for individual inputs, use the

Reset selection found in the AV menu.

System Reset Button

If the TV does not respond to the remote control, side
panel controls, or will not power on/off, press the
SYSTEM RESET button on the side panel with a pointed
object, such as the point of a pencil or end tip of a
paperclip.

The blue

POWER LED will flash quickly for about one

minute. When the blue

POWER LED stops flashing, you

may turn on the TV. Recent setting changes you made
before using

SYSTEM RESET may be lost.

1. COMPONENT 3 Inputs (Audio and Video)
Y Pb Pr (480i/480p/720p/1080i)
COMPONENT 3
is a third set of component inputs. Use
these jacks to connect devices with component video
outputs, such as DVD players, external HDTV receivers,
or compatible video game systems. See Appendix B,
“Specifications,” for signal compatibility.

2. INPUT 3 (Audio and Video)
The

INPUT 3 jacks have multiple uses. The Y/VIDEO

jack can serve either as a yellow composite video jack or
as a green component video jack. The audio jacks can
be used with either the composite or component inputs
nearby on the side panel. The audio jacks also work with
a DVI source connected to

HDMI 4.

3. HDMI 4
HDMI 4 is an HDMI™ input located on the TV’s side panel
for convenience. See item 6, “HDMI Inputs” for descrip-
tion and use. When you connect a DVI device to

HDMI 4,

connect analog audio cables to the nearby

INPUT 3 L and

R audio jacks to hear analog audio from the device.

4. USB Photo Port
The USB port is used for viewing JPEG images. See chapter
4, “TV Operation and Features” for more information.
