Start Chat
Once you have added the members for the chat session:
1. Select Start Chat and press ( .
2. Enter the text for the invitation to be sent to each member you have selected for
the chat session and press
( .
The invitation is sent to the member list. While the invitation is being sent, an
animated envelope icon and
Sending Chat Invitation message are
displayed. If any members do not receive the invitation, the Personal Communicator
displays their names in the Chat Message(s) Failed List. Press
( to resend the
invitation.
Chat View
Once the chat invitation is sent, the Chat View screen displays. The Chat View
shows the messages from each chat member. Each message is preceded by the
member’s chat name. The newest messages are placed at the top of the screen.
Use
! to view messages that have scrolled off the screen.
Send Chat Message
To send a chat message:
1. While in the Chat View, press ( and select Send Chat Msg.
2. Enter the text for the message and press ( .
