3. Calculation example
A Wall pipe, with louvred vent
= 1 x 3.8 m Additional duct
length = 3.8 m
B/D 2 Elbows, 90°
= 2 x 0.8 m Additional duct
length = 1.6 m
C 0.5 m plastic piping
= 0.5 x 1 m Additional duct
length = 0.5 m
E Side connection, left
= 1 m Additional duct length = 1.0 m
Effective duct length = 6.9 m
Result: A duct diameter of 100 mm is
adequate as the effective duct length is
less than the 20 m specified in Table II.
Installation to the rear, left or
right hand side of the machine
At the rear
The dryer is delivered with this connec-
tion open.
^ Fit one of the venting systems de-
scribed on the following pages.
Left or right side of the machine.
^ Remove the left or right hand side
cover cap. Do not remove the frame.
Refit it in the rear outlet.
^ Ensure it is securely in position so
that it cannot fall out when the dryer
is in operation.
