Cleaning the lens

Follow these steps to clean the projection lens:
1.

Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a soft, dry cloth.
v Avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner, and do not apply the cleaner directly to the lens.
v Abrasive cleaners, solvents or other harsh chemicals might scratch the lens.

2.

Lightly wipe the cleaning cloth over the lens in a circular motion.

3.

If you do not intend to use the projector immediately, replace the lens cap.

Replacing the projection lamp

Attention:

To avoid burns, allow the projector to cool for at least

60 minutes before you open the lamp. Never

extract the lamp module while the projector is operating.

Caution:

The following label indicates a hot surface nearby.

The Lamp timer in the on-screen Service menu counts the number of hours the lamp has been in use. See
Lamptimer in “Service menu” on page 21. View the Lamp timer periodically to see how much time has
elapsed on the lamp. Change the lamp when the Change Lamp warning appears in the lower left corner
of the screen. See “Replacement lamps” on page 41 for ordering information.

To perform this procedure, set the projector bottom side up on a flat, clean surface such as a table. To
replace the projection lamp, do the following:
1.

Turn off the projector and remove the power cord from the projector and from the electrical outlet.

2.

Wait

60 minutes to allow the projector to cool thoroughly.
