Key Switch in "ON" Position (4.5 L “270” Engines)
6. 4.5 L Suffix “270” Earlier Engines Only: Turn key
switch to “ON” position and check lamps. “WATER”
lamp should be off, while “OIL” and “CHG” lamps
should be lit.
Replace lamps as needed. If this does not solve any
problems, see your John Deere dealer or distributor.
