Clearing the receiver’s memory may remedy the
problem. You can clear the receiver’s memory
by performing the following procedure.
Use the buttons on the receiver for the operation.
Notes
• All memorized settings will be reset to their factory
settings and you will have to readjust all settings on
the receiver.
• (Models of area code VN, TH only)
The preset speaker settings is 2.0 channel. When you
have initialized the receiver, the speaker settings will
return to its initial setting 5.1 channel. Therefore, you
need to readjust the speaker setup pattern (SP. PAT.
X –X) in SETUP menu to “SP. PAT. 2 –0” or
according to your speaker combination (page 13).

Press ?/1 to turn off the receiver.

Hold down ?/1 for 5 seconds.
“PUSH” and “ENTER” appears in the
display alternatingly.

Press MEMORY/ENTER.
“CLEARING” appears in the display for a
while, then “CLEARED” appears.
The following are reset to their factory
settings.
• All settings in the SETUP, KARAOKE,
LEVEL, CUSTOMIZE and TUNER
menus.
• The sound field memorized for each
input and preset station.
• All sound field parameters.
• All preset stations.
• All index names for inputs and preset
stations.
• MASTER VOLUME is set to “VOL
MIN”.
• MUSIC VOLUME is set to “MUSIC
0 dB”.
Tip
To clear customized sound fields, refer to “Resetting
sound fields to the initial settings” on page 28.
