Note:

An exception is the SHARP Organizers ZQ-700 and ZQ-750 which do not have a user data-
base, only a telephone database.

Both types of database are started via the application bar, or alternatively you can select the
‘Telephone’ or ‘User’ menu options in the ‘View’ menu.

The view field always displays the record selected in the list field and only data fields and names
which actually contain information are displayed in the view field. In the list field, the records are
displayed in a list in lines and according to a specific criterion. Chapter 4.1.3 contains a more
detailed description and many more instructions on this.

Inputting a new record into the telephone database:

1 Change to the telephone database via the application bar.

2 Click on the

button. The editor opens for entry of a new record.

3 Enter your information in the input field in the appropriate lines.

4 If desired, select a category for the record.

5 Specify whether the record is to be defined as “secret”. To do this click on the

button. The

closed padlock indicates that the entry will now be saved as “secret”.

6 The entry is saved by closing the editor using the

button.

Editing / modifying an entry in the telephone database:

1 Change to the telephone database via the application bar.

2 Search for the record via the list field. If necessary, use the scroll bar.

3 Click on the line containing the record and then on the

icon in the toolbar.

4 In the editor change, for example, a field, the category or the “Secret” status.

5 The entry is saved by closing the editor using the

button.

4.3.3 Memo

The ‘Memo’ function is just as simple as on your SHARP Organizer and is therefore easy to operate.
Start the ‘Memo’ application by clicking on the Memo icon in the application bar, or alternatively
you can select the ‘Memo’ menu option in the ‘View’ menu. Now simply enter the text and
information you want to make a note of without worrying about the form or other conditions.

Check that the ‘Word break’ option (see Chapter 4.1.4) is activated in the editor, otherwise individual
words may be split in the middle of the word by the line break.

You will see the usual view with the view field where a memo is displayed and the list field in the
lower part of the application window in which all memos are listed with a brief description and the
input date.
