Using the Internet
Setting Up a Dial-up Internet Connection
Before you can connect to the Internet, you need to connect your computer to a telephone line with a telephone cable (not
supplied). Once you have set up your telephone cable connection, you're ready to connect to the Internet.
For details of telephone cable connections, see Connecting the Telephone and Modem (page 22) .
To set up a dial-up connection to the Internet
1 Click Start, point to All Programs, Accessories, Communications, and click New Connection Wizard.
The New Connection Wizard appears.
2 Click Next. If the Location Information window appears, follow the on-screen instructions.
3 If it is not already selected, click to select Connect to the Internet, and click Next.
4 Follow the on-screen instructions.
