Repeat steps 1 to 4 of [1] MPAA RATING to access V-
CHIP select move.

Press CH UP ( 8 ) or DOWN ( 9 ) to move the “ : ” mark
to “TV GUIDELINES”.

Press VOL (+) or (–) to access TV GUIDELINES mode.
4 Press CH UP ( 8 ) or DOWN ( 9 ) to move the “ : ” mark to
“TV-Y7”, then press VOL (+) or (–) to select BLOCK.

Press MENU to exit.
• Higher ratings and their CONTENT are blocked when a
lower rating is set to BLOCK. Refer to example 1 in TV
PARENTAL GUIDELINES section of V-CHIP operation
on page 15.

If you want to change CONTENT in above step 4, press
CH UP (
8 ) or DOWN ( 9 ) to move the “ : ” mark to
CONTENT, then press VOL (+) or (–) to access
CONTENT mode.
2 You can select “BLOCK” or “– – – – –” (VIEW) from
each CONTENT by pressing
CH UP ( 8 ) or DOWN ( 9 )
and VOL (+) or (–) if you want to control these ratings.

Press MENU to exit.
• If FCC data of a TV program contains only the AGE rating
but not the CONTENT rating, then CONTENT settings
have no effect.
• Controlling only by the CONTENT rating works best if
each AGE rating is unblocked. Refer to example 2 in
TV PARENTAL GUIDELINES section of V-CHIP
operation on page 15.

to “PG”, then press VOL (+) or (–) to select BLOCK,

Press MENU to exit.
• Higher ratings are blocked when a lower rating is set to
