COPYING FILES (HMX-S15/S16 ONLY)
You can copy videos and photos stored in the internal memory to the external flash memory
card. Copying to the memory card does not delete originals in the internal memory.
PRECHECK!
Insert the memory card in your camcorder. page 32
Select the Play (
) tab on the LCD screen to select the Video play ( /

) or Photo play ( ) mode.

1. Touch the Menu ( ) tab “Copy” then the desired submenu
item.
If you touched “Select Files”, you will see image thumbnails.
Go to Step 2.
If you touched All Files, you will see the message that
corresponds to that option. Go to Step 3.
2. Touch the files you want to copy. After you have selected all the
files you want to copy, touch the OK tab. Go to Step 3.
See Submenu items below for additional details.
3. Touch “Yes.”
If you selected All Files, the camcorder copies all the files in
storage media.

You can also operate this function in the full and single image display mode.
If the write protection tab on the memory card is set to lock, you cannot copy the images.

You can not copy a file if the memory card has insufficient free space. Remove unnecessary files
before proceeding. page 110
The copy function does not work if the battery charge is insufficient. We recommend you use the
AC power supply to provide continuous power during the copying.
You cannot copy files if the number of video and photo files on the storage media you want to copy
is 9999.

Submenu items
Select Files: Copy individual images.
Touch the images you want to copy.
The (
) indicator is displayed on the selected images.
Touching the thumbnail image toggles the image
between being selected (
) or not selected.
Touch the ( OK ) tab.
All Files: Copy all images.

Do not eject a memory card or power off while copying files stored on the storage media. Doing so
may damage the storage media or data.
