Using Kies (HMX-S15/S16 only)
Environment configuration for use of Kies
1. When setting Kies’ Allshare for the first time, you
should set a name which other devices can recognize
Kies. Enter the name you want to use when identifying
the share lists.
2. You should set the access authority to let other
devices access to Kies. Set the device to “Allow” or
“Allow all” to use it with Kies.
3. When sending files from the other device to Kies, you
need a folder to save them. Set the folder to download
files.
When enabling the “Backup to PC” function in
HMX-S15/S16, operate the ‘Setting’ menu in Kies’
Allshare, and then set S15/16 to ‘Allow’ from the ‘Device
Settings.’
If you can’t find the name S15 or S16 in ‘Device Settings’
of the Kies’ Allshare ‘Settings’ menu, set the Windows
firewall to ‘Off’ and try again.
