Specify Computer name and Workgroup for your
computer.

Click OK.
The message “Restart your computer to enable
changes.” is displayed.

Click OK.
The System Properties dialog box reappears.

Click OK then Yes to restart the computer.
Proceed to the next section, To set up sharing on the
computer on page 36, upon completion of this setting.
Notes
• Assign a unique name
of up to 15
alphanumeric
characters to every
computer connected to
the same LAN.
• The workgroup
indicates the name of a
group sharing files.
Assign the same
workgroup name for all
computers that share
files.
Note
Restarting the computer
takes longer than booting.
