The Wireless Palette still shows the
previous computer name after a
change.
cThe Access Point has not yet

recognized the new computer name.
Click the Nickname of the Access
Point in the Tool Box window of the
Wireless Palette, then click Select. If
the correct information is displayed,
click OK.

The communication band is
supposed to be 11 Mbps, but
MPEG2 data transfer fails.
c11 Mbps is a logical value. The

actual value is approximately 4 to 5
Mbps. This occurs with almost all
IEEE 802.11 compliant products.
The high-speed stream transfer of
MPEG2, may cause a short of the
communication band.

No communication is available even
though my computer is located
within 50 m (165 feet) of the Access
Point.
cThe actual communication distance

depends on the installation site and
ambient conditions. Move your
computer closer to the Access Point.

On the dial-up connection

When using the dial-up connection,
the Internet connection is
unintentionally disconnected.
cThe automatic disconnection feature

is enabled. If no communication
takes place for two minutes, the
Access Point automatically
disconnects the dial-up connection
by default. To change this setting,
use the Custom Access Point Setup
Utility. For further information, see
the Custom Access Point Setup
Utility Help.

When the automatic connection
feature is enabled, a connection to
the Internet is unintentionally
established.
cSome e-mail applications

periodically check incoming mail.
Windows also periodically
establishes a connection to the
Internet for update notices.

The dial-up connection is disabled
for a while after disconnection by
clicking Disconnect.
cThe Access Point does not accept a

connection command issued by
clicking Connect for one minute
after manual disconnection. Wait
approximately one minute after
disconnection, then try again.
