Danger of accidents Reduced braking due to damaged brake discs.
– If the brake linings are not changed in time, the steel brake lining carriers grind on the brake disc. The braking effect is greatly

reduced and the brake discs are destroyed.

– Check the brake linings for minimum thickness 

.

Minimum thickness 

≥ 1 mm (≥ 0.04 in)

» If the minimum thickness is less than specified:

– Change the rear brake linings.

Removing front wheel

– Jack up the motorcycle rear end. (

– Jack up the motorcycle at the front. (

– Remove the screws 

from both brake calipers.

– Press back the brake linings with a light lateral tilting of the brake calipers on the brake

disc. Pull the brake caliper carefully back from the brake disc and hang it to one side.

Info

Do not pull the handbrake lever when the brake calipers are removed.
