Replacing an optical drive
This procedure describes how to remove and replace the optical drive.
1. Open the computer cover. See “Opening the cover” on page 88.
2. Pivot the drive-bay-assembly upward to gain access to the optical drive.
3. Disconnect the signal and power cables from the rear of the optical drive.
4. Press the optical-drive lock 1 and slide the optical drive up 3 out the drive
bay assembly.
