1. You may physically modify the I/O Range and IRQ used by the

LavaPort 650 by de-selecting the “Use Automatic Settings” check
box, and double-clicking the appropriate heading, or:

2a. For Windows95/98/ME, you may use the Lava Port Redirect Utility

provided in the Utils subdirectory of your LavaPort diskette. This
utility may be run from the diskette or installed onto your hard drive.
To install the Lava Port Redirect utility on your hard drive, insert the
LavaPort diskette into your floppy drive, click Start, Run and type
A:\Utils\Setup.

The Lava Port Redirect Utility will allow you to change the Com number
assigned to the LavaPort 650 (e.g. Change Com5 to Com 4) without
modifying I/O resources.

2b. For Windows2000/XP, you can change port numbers by Right

Clicking My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager >
double click the Lava Port you want to change > Port Settings >
Advanced and under Com Port Number, you can change the port
number from the drop down menu.
