Scene Mode
When you select a scene mode to match
the subject and recording situation, the
camera sets the optimal exposure and hue
to obtain the desired picture.
• Two frequently used scenes can be set to
the mode dials [ ] and [ ].Refer to
P51 to 58 for each scene menu.
1 Press 3/4 to select the scene
mode.
• Press 4 at A to switch to the next
menu screen.
• If [SCENE MODE] menu does not
appear, press [MENU/SET] to display
the [SCENE MODE] menu.
• When you press 1, explanations about
each scene mode are displayed. (When
you press
2, the screen returns to the
[SCENE MODE] menu.)
2 Press [MENU/SET].
∫ About the menu screen items
• There are 6 menu screens (1/6, 2/6, 3/6,
4/6, 5/6 and 6/6).
• You can switch menu screens from any
menu item by rotating the zoom lever.
∫ Setting frequently used scenes to the
mode dials [ ] and [ ].
1 Set [SCENE MENU] in the [SETUP]
menu to [OFF]. (P24)
2 Press 3/4 to select the scene mode
and then press [MENU/SET].
• When the mode dial is set to [ ] or
[ ], the selected scene mode is
activated and the [SCENE MODE] menu
is not displayed. This is convenient as you
do not need to select the scene mode in
the [SCENE MODE] menu every time you
take pictures.
