To check for firmware updates on the NETGEAR website, select Update from the
Internet
, and follow the onscreen prompts.

If the firmware file is located on a USB storage device, connect the device to the USB port
of your Digital Entertainer Express, and select Specify a location. Uncompress the .zip
file, if necessary. The .img firmware file must be on the top level (root) of the device. If
more than one file is on the device, you are prompted to select a file.

2. When the update is complete, the Digital Entertainer Express restarts.

3. Following a firmware update, you need to reload your media library into the Digital

Entertainer Express from the backup location.

You can use the Configuration wizard with a Windows-based PC or Mac to locate shared
media. See

“Configuring Your Media Library” on page 1-11

To manually locate shared media, press Home > More > Supervisor functions > Advanced
Settings > Servers and shared folders. See

“Setting Up Network Shares” on page 5-5
