File and Folder Names

Pictures, movies, voice memos, and voice recordings are assigned file names as
follows.

Files are stored in folders named with a folder number followed by a five-

character identifier: “P_” plus a three-digit sequence number for pictures shot
using Panorama assist (e.g. “101P_001”;

A50), “INTVL” for interval timer

photography (e.g. “101INTVL”;

A119), “SOUND” for voice recordings (e.g.

“101SOUND”;

A87), and “NIKON” for all other pictures (e.g. “100NIKON”). When

the number of files within a folder reaches 9999 or reset the file number, a new
folder will be created. File numbers will be assigned automatically starting with
“0001.”

Voice memo file names have the same identifier and file number as the picture

to which the voice memo is attached.
