Connecting the Gateway to the Internet

Note: For instructions on connecting computers to the DG824M via wireless links, please
see the

2. Log in to the DG824M.

Note: If you usually run software to log in to your Internet connection, do not run that
software.

Connect to the gateway by typing

http://192.168.0.1

in the address field of Internet

Explorer or Netscape

Navigator.

A login window opens as shown below:

For security reasons, the gateway has its own user name and password. When prompted,
enter admin

for the gateway User Name and password for the gateway Password, both in

lower case letters.

Note: The user name and password are not the same as any user name or password you
may use to log in to your Internet connection.
