• Your scanner automatically rounds the entered

frequency to the nearest valid frequency. For
example, if you enter a frequency of 151.473,
your scanner accepts it as 151.475.

• Press

DELAY

if you want the scanner to pause 2

seconds after a transmission ends before it pro-
ceeds to the next channel (see “Delay” on
Page 33). The scanner also stores this setting
in the channel.

4. If you want to program the next channel in

sequence, press

PROG

and repeat Steps 2 and 3.

SEARCHING FOR AND
TEMPORARILY STORING ACTIVE
FREQUENCIES

If you do not have a reference to frequencies in your
area, use a limit, direct, or service search to find a
transmission. Also see “Guide to the Action Bands” on
Page 58.

Notes: While doing a limit, direct, or service bank
search, you can press:

DELAY

if you want the scanner to pause 2 seconds

after a transmission ends before it proceeds to the
next frequency (see “Delay” on Page 33).

if you want the scanner to skip data signals

(such as fax or modem signals) and search only
for audio (voice) signals (see “Skipping Data Sig-
nals” on Page 38).

Limit Search

A limit search lets you search within a specific range
of frequencies.
