When you unpack your Digital Camera, make sure to keep all the packing materials
in a safe place, in case you need to later transport the device or return it for servicing.

In the box, you will find:

TIP: To maximize the performance of your camera and for greater battery life, use

NiMH rechargeable type batteries. Please refer to the "Addendum" for more details.

SECURE DIGITAL (SD) AND MULTI-MEDIA CARD (MMC)

The Secure Digital (SD) and Multi-Media Card (MMC) are external memory cards
that can be plugged into your Digital Camera to extend the memory capacity. Please
refer to (

p.29) for the list of memory cards compatible with this digital camera.

The type of memory currently used by the camera is indicated on the OSD (On-
Screen Display):

Internal

Files are stored in the camera’s internal memory.

External

Either a Secure Digital card or a Multi-Media card
has been installed. Files are stored on the card’s memory.

Your camera is
shipped with
two AAA-sized
batteries. Insert
the batteries as
shown on the
compartment lid.

You may

damage your
camera if the
batteries are
installed
incorrectly.

1. Pass the
short, thin loop
of the strap
through the
camera’s
strap ring.

2. Pass the
other end of
the strap
through
the loop.

3. Tighten by
pulling the loop.
