Positioning Belt

Your power chair may be equipped with an automotive-
type positioning belt that can be adjusted for operator
comfort. See figure 26. The positioning belt is designed
to prevent the operator from sliding down or forward in
the seat. The positioning belt is not designed for use as a
restraining device.

To adjust the lap belt:
1. When seated, insert the metal tab into the plastic hous-

ing on the opposite strap until you hear a click.

2. Pull the strap until it is secure, but not so tight as to

cause discomfort.

Make sure the positioning belt is

properly secured to the power chair and

is adjusted for operator comfort before

each use.
